Exposure to light at night alters outcome to stroke

Didn’t some of us suspect that frequent sleep disruption and lights on at odd hours couldn’t be all that conducive to healing (not limited to post-stroke/CNS, also post-surgical wound healing etc.)?
Exposure to dim light at night, a common occurrence in hospital rooms, increases short-term mortality and compromises recovery from cerebral ischemia.
